Why don't Christian organizations do more research?

Good question.  Organizations give a variety of answers, ranging from the cost of research to a perspective that says it's not needed because they trust the Holy Spirit to bless their ministry.  Although InterSearch members all believe in the work of the Holy Spirit, they also believe that achieving excellence for God and using the resources provided by prayer and financial partners requires the use of assessment tools (research).

Who does InterSearch's research?

InterSearch obtains its research using several different methods.  First, it purchases data from market and audience research companies, either directly or as an end-user of commissioned research by such organizations as InterMedia., based in Washington, DC.  This data is usually referred to as "top-line" data, with summaries of responses to extensive questionnaires.  Detailed data sets are also available at addtional cost for detailed analysis.  Second, it completes its own research, either by direct commission to organizations such as InterMedia, or by using its own internal personnel resources and staff.  All research conducted uses standard industry procedures for sampling, questionnaire or focus group design, and analysis.  InterSearch seeks the highest possible quality in all research obtained for its members.  And, as well, data located by InterSearch member organizations are also shared among the membership for their use.
